The biggest problem for the house engineer is the question:
"How can I get my plan into the computer ?"
HT2000-CAE offers 4 different ways : - Constructive, i.e. using coordinates, angles, lines, guide-lines,
intersections, end points, etc, to draw the plan from scratch. This takes
more time but is precise. HT2000-CAE provides all of the standard CAD
functions for this method.
- DXF/DWG-Import, i.e. the architect plan already exists in DXF- or DWG-format on a
data storage device. The file is copied, through the respective interface,
into HT2000-CAE and is scaled appropriately. The plan must then be cleaned
up and edited, since the interface takes the lines and text without any
real meaning, i.e. the line is assigned with a material or a U-value by clicking
on it or the line of a room must be indicated as suck if the heatload is
supposed to be determined automatically from the plan.
- Scan
template, i.e. you have a
drawing, a sketch or a fax, on which the foundation is drawn. The drawing
is scanned in, read with HT2000-CAE, scaled and deskewed in the x- and y-
directions if necessary.
This creates a template on the screen which can be easily traced with the
mouse. If everything that is important has been taken from the drawing,
the template can be hidden again. - Digitizing
with the Digitizer
A digitizer is an electronic tablett or a
drawing pad that the plan can be stretched out over. Using an electronic
pen, the drawing is transferred coordinate by coordinate into the
computer. HT2000-CAE interprets the lines as walls automatically and
creates the rooms from this. The advantage of this method is that you only
take on the part of the drawing that you want to use for your
calculations.
If you do not want to run heatload calculations with the graphic, it is not necessary to provide walls with U-values or to define rooms. Radiators, underfloor heating areas and heating pipe networks can be drawn in at any time. After manually allocating the heatload values, the calculations can be performed directly.
Sanitational symbols can be drawn in completely separate from the floor plan and can be connected with pipes. The symbols already contain all of the parameters required for the calculation (Vr value, minimum flow pressure, ...) so that the drinking water network calculations can be completed with minimum effort according to DIN1988.
